Visiting Assistant Professors/Lecturers/Assistant Instructors
Department of Radio-Television

Title of Position/Rank: Visiting Assistant Professors/Lecturers/Assistant Instructors (variable time).

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required (Assistant Instructor) with Master's degree (Lecturer) or MFA/Ph.D. (Visiting Asst. Prof.) preferred. Education and experience must be appropriate for the teaching assignment. Evidence of teaching or professional experience required.

Responsibilities: Teach one or more introductory and advanced courses in media management, broadcast news, TV/Film writing, performance, production, communication policy, law and/or technology. These positions are term and do not lead to tenure.

Department: The Department of Radio-Television is a nationally acclaimed program of communications education enrolling 400 majors annually. Undergraduate students may choose among one of three well-established career sequences: Broadcast News, Radio-TV Production, or Marketing & Management. The curriculum is built on the Liberal Arts tradition and requires all students to take courses in foreign language, history, law, and criticism among other requirements. Writing skills are emphasized throughout this four-year program.
