TUESDAY, MARCH 4th - BORDER VIDEOGRAPHIESLawson Hall 141 @ 6:00 pm

A look at excerpts from Biemann's video essays "Europlex", "Remote Sensing" and "Contained Mobility". This artist presentation engages in questions of how border spaces constitute themselves through the mobility of people. Entering clandestine, off-track and illegal spaces, Biemann visualizes a counter-geography and suggests ways in which artists may inscribe themselves in these symbolic and material locations. Admission to this lecture is free.
